Requirements<\/h3>
  • Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate electrical estimates<\/b> for commercial, industrial, institutional, and infrastructure projects.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Review bid documents, drawings, and specifications to fully understand project scope and requirements.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Perform comprehensive material and labor take -offs<\/b>, identify cost -saving opportunities, and assess potential risks.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and executive teams<\/b> to develop competitive bid strategies.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Manage the full bidding process including subcontractor outreach, scope review, and bid leveling.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and vendor pricing to maintain competitive, accurate estimates.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Participate in pre -bid meetings, site walks, and post -bid reviews to ensure clear communication and strategy alignment.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Support value engineering initiatives to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Maintain and update estimating databases, cost libraries, and unit pricing to reflect current market conditions.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Mentor junior estimators, providing guidance, feedback, and training as needed.
    <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    QUALIFICATIONS<\/b>
    <\/h3>
    • 7+ years of electrical estimating experience<\/b>, with a strong background in commercial and industrial projects.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Proven track record estimating projects ranging from mid -size builds to large, complex contracts<\/b>.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and NEC/NFPA codes.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Proficiency with electrical estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Excellent blueprint reading and analytical skills.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Ability to thrive in a fast -paced, deadline -driven<\/b> environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Experience in the Long Island / NYC market is highly preferred.
