Senior Project Manager (Heavy Civil)

The Civi Group has partnered with a highly successful Heavy Civil General Contractor in Springfield on their search for a Senior Project Manager with experience in the civil sector to work on large-scale Civil Construction Projects.

This Senior Project Manager will be the company representative at the project site and oversee the entirety of the project. You will serve as the companys point of contact both with the client and with the construction team. You will engage in and influence the safety culture and have the authority to make decisions on the teams behalf about such items as cost and schedule.

Project Types: Heavy Civil, DOT Projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to perform all essential Project Manager job responsibilities
• Proven ability to monitor the status of assigned projects and bring suggestions for improvements to the Area Manager in areas such as crew size, performance methods, techniques, work quality, value engineering, etc.
• Monitor closely all cost and yields within the area of responsibility and be constantly alert to any changes in the relationship of these areas which may be adverse.
• Coordinate and control the work of all subcontractors including compliance with job.

Skills & Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management (preferred).
• At least 8+ years of Construction / Project Management experience in a civil construction environment.
• Knowledge of Heavy Civil Construction processes and industry standards.
• Ability to supervise site work construction projects from general plans and instructions, determining the proper amounts of various materials, tools, and personal equipment needed.
