General Summary
The Case Specialist will play a key role in assisting high-need seniors by making referrals to care management programs or adult protective services.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Program Director utilizing skills with a minimum of supervision, performs the following duties:
- Provides social service information and assistance to program clients/participants.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Provides community outreach to program clients/participants.
- Provides referrals, initiates referral form process, and schedules appointments for program clients/participants.
- Seeks assistance with mandated referrals to Adult Protective Services.
- Provide interpreter service for program clients/participants.
- Maintains an accurate calendar of events, appointments, and schedules.
- As directed, translate correspondence, memorandums, forms, documents, and other materials. Composes and edits letters, designs flyers, types and reproduces forms, and maintains adequate supplies of forms.
- Ensures confidentiality of all records.
- May be assigned to attend conferences and workshops.
- Answer telephone, take and relay messages.
- Assist with community events and special events.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with co-workers; and complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 (one) year of office experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Represent MAOF skillfully and professionally.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Must possess own vehicle at all times, a valid California Driver's License, and appropriate automobile insurance.
- Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Department of Justice.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday. Based on the program's operational needs must have the ability to work flexible days and hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
