We’re looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to provide hands-on financial support to our valued clients in Aylesbury and surrounding areas. As a Senior Bookkeeper for The Part-Time Finance People, you’ll provide SME clients with tailored financial support, completing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and helping to overcome accounting challenges while preparing and explaining financial information that improves cash flow and supports better decision-making.
You are an experienced Bookkeeper/Finance Manager with practical exposure to growing SMEs. Ideally, you are self-employed and have at least 2 days per week available to provide flexible, high-quality support.
Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
Credit control and debtor reporting
Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management
Drafting payment runs for approval
Supplier reconciliations
Bank postings and reconciliations
Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
VAT returns
Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
Experience with Xero accounting software (Sage 50 / QuickBooks a plus)
Payroll (if necessary)
Location: Aylesbury (on-site)
Hours: Part-time, 2–3 days per week
Rate: £22.50 per hour
