We are currently seeking a ServiceNow Senior Developer - FTR - Burnaby to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).

 

 

Purpose of Position

The ServiceNow Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs. They work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Their role involves customizing and configuring modules, developing workflows, and integrating ServiceNow with other systems. They also ensure best practices in coding and design, perform regular system updates, and maintain documentation. Additionally, the Senior ServiceNow Developer often mentors junior developers, provides technical guidance, and supports troubleshooting and issue resolution to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction.

Accountabilities

  • Analyze business situations and work within a group environment to provide efficient and effective software solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production.
  • Provide technical support during all phases of project delivery. This includes but is not limited to: development of project estimates, solution design review, documentation creation and review, and peer code reviews.

Competencies (To be assessed during interviews)

  • Knowledge of system design and development used within Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (REST, SOAP, WSDL, JAXWS)
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and Web 2.0 Technologies (Java Scripting, XML, HTML, AJAX, Jelly, CSS, PERL scripting, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow integration using LDAP, MS Active Directory, ADFS, Single Sign-on and web services integrations.
  • Integration (interfacing) of enterprise software systems with ServiceNow
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL v3 methodologies, ITSM concepts, enterprise IT architecture, relational databases, ITIL certifications a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Change/Incident/Problem Management, Asset Management, CMDB, Knowledge, Release Management, etc.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of ServiceNow development, configuration and administration experience in an enterprise environment.
  • ServiceNow Certified Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
