Job Summary
Performs a wide-range of duties involved in providing professional and technical assistance and support to the City of Bryan’s land use planning team.
Physical Demands
Physical demands include but are not limited to: sitting, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, walking, driving, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, using hands and fingers to operate office equipment and machines, and occasionally lifting and/or moving objects up to and including 25 pounds
Minimum Qualifications
Staff Planner: Bachelor’s degree in with major coursework in Planning, Geography, Architecture, Transportation, Urban Design, Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Economics or a similar field of study plus at least two (2) years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with major coursework as listed above plus related experience preferred. Senior Planner: Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Planning, Geography, Architecture, Transportation, Urban Design, Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Economics or a similar field of study plus at least four (4) years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with major coursework as listed above plus at least two (2) years of related experience.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm; Attendance at board/commission meetings after 5pm will be required 2-3 times per month
